Small Sea Urchin Earrings in Silver | Lofoten Jewelry

The Havminner Collection

Handmade earrings inspired by a small sea urchin found along the beaches of Lofoten.

The starting point for the design is a real sea urchin I found by the sea. I first make a mold of the sea urchin, which is then used as a model in the sand-casting process. This way, the fine structures and details created by nature itself are preserved.

The earrings are cast and finished by hand in my workshop in Laupstad, Lofoten. The organic surface bears traces of the sea and makes each piece of jewelry a small tribute to the coastal landscape of the north.

Each pair is individually made by hand, meaning small variations in shape and surface will naturally occur. No two pieces of jewelry will be exactly alike.

A small and timeless piece of jewelry inspired by the sea and nature in Northern Norway.
