Enamel maintenance

Enamel is glass that has been fused onto the silver surface at high temperatures. Enamel jewelry requires special care to preserve the color and surface.

Daily use

• Avoid bumps and falls – enamel can crack or flake off with hard impact
• Remove the jewelry before physical activity, sports or heavy work.
• Apply perfume, hairspray and cosmetics before putting on the jewelry.
• Avoid contact with chemicals, chlorine water and strong cleaning agents.

Cleaning

• Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth.
• Use lukewarm water and mild soap if necessary.
• Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
• NEVER use ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners or abrasives
• Avoid silver polishing on enameled areas

Storage

• Store the jewelry separately in a soft bag or jewelry box.
• Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures
• Keep the jewelry away from other jewelry to avoid scratches.

Important to know

Enamel is a natural material that can change over time. Small variations in color and surface are normal and part of the character of the jewelry.
