The jewelery gallery has regular opening hours, and you will find both the gallery and the jewelery workshop in the same place. Welcome

…to my small jewelry gallery and workshop in a charming old barn in the beautiful Lofoten Islands. Here, rustic atmosphere meets handmade jewelry and true craftsmanship – right in the heart of northern Norway's dramatic nature.

I am a silversmith, and in my gallery, you don't just see the finished pieces – you can also witness the process. My workshop is part of the space, and I'm often working at the bench while you explore my collections. It's an honest and personal experience of handmade jewelry.

The setting is cozy and calm, with wooden walls and plenty of soul. Whether you're looking for a unique gift or something special for yourself, you are warmly welcome.

The gallery was established in the summer of 2020 and is located directly beneath the majestic Higravstinden mountain – on the border between Vågan and Hadsel, just east of Laupstad and Higraveidet, about 22 km from Svolvær in the direction of Vesterålen.

This project was created through a close collaboration between Svanhild Hogner from Petrahuset, artist Axel Frønes, and silversmith Jacqueline Steinkraus. Together, we wanted to preserve the story of Petra and her garden — in words, images, and silver.

CULTURALITY project

The main objective of the Culturality project is to help promote cultural and creative tourism activities, taking into account the different capacities, resources and peculiarities (material, creative, human …) of the territories, as a means of contributing to the sustainable development of peripheral rural areas, favoring job creation and population settlement. For this, the potential of its cultural heritage will be investigated, taking into account both the craft material culture (techniques, materials, patterns and decorative elements), as well as the intangible culture (music, oral knowledge and culinary traditions) as a resource.
