ABOUT

Artist Statement
Lofoten Jewelry is about working slowly and honestly with silver.
Jacqueline creates each piece by hand in her workshop on the Lofoten Islands.
Her work is inspired by the northern landscape — by stone, sand, wind, light and the marks time leaves behind.
She focuses on traditional silversmith techniques and allows the material to guide the process.
Small irregularities, traces of tools and subtle differences are part of the work and give each piece its individual character.
Her practice is rooted in craftsmanship, patience and respect for the material.
Each piece is made to last and to be worn as a quiet reminder of place, time and handwork.

Short Biography
Jacqueline is an independent silversmith and artist based on the Lofoten Islands, Norway.
She is currently the only practising silversmith with a permanent workshop and gallery on the archipelago.
Her studio is located at the foot of Higravtinden, the highest mountain of the Lofoten Islands.
Her practice is closely connected to place, material and time, and shaped through slow, hands-on processes where resistance, repetition and natural forces leave visible traces in each piece.
